...for Children with Specific Learning Difficulties

Special Attention Project (SAP) is a Ghanaian Non-Governmental Organization that improves the lives of children with Specific Learning Difficulties by spreading information to the public, advocating for learning support for pupils with learning difficulties in mainstream schools, doing research and training on Specific Learning Difficulties as well as providing practical support to out-of-school children with learning difficulties in the streets of Accra.

What is workplace giving?

Workplace giving is making regular donations through a payroll system. Employees mandate their organization to deduct a monthly donation from their pay, and their collective donations are then forwarded to a charity.

For example: a company has ten employees, and each employee agrees to donate Gh¢ 20.00 per month. The salary administration deducts this sum and lists it on the payslips. The total donations add up to Gh¢ 200.00, which amount is transferred in the bank account of the charity that the company has chosen to support.

Employees can also determine an individual monthly amount.

For example: a company has twenty employees and each employee agrees to donate an individual amount. The monthly donation could be as follows: two employees donate Gh¢ 5.00, twelve employees donate Gh¢ 10.00, five employees donate Gh¢ 20.00 and one person gives Gh¢ 50.00 per month. The total adds up to Gh¢ 280.00, which is transferred to the charity.

Companies and Welfare Associations are welcome to direct their donations to SAP!
